How to Care for Dieffenbachia

  • Light: Bright indirect/filtered light
  • Water Preferences: Water regularly in spring and summer, keeping the soil consistently moist but never soggy. Allow the top two inches of soil to dry before watering. In the winter, allow the soil to dry slightly before watering again.
  • Special Care/Notes: The strength of light the plant is placed in affects variegation pattern and color. Does not tolerate cool temperatures well. Prone to overwatering, water lightly. Keep in mind that this plant is toxic to pets and can cause irritation to the mouth and esophagus.

*Ships within Colorado only* To ensure plants are delivered with the most care, we ship plants Monday-Wednesday. Plants purchased after Wednesday or over the weekend will be shipped on the following Monday. Check out our shipping policies for more information. Thank you!
