Bougainvillea are known for their vibrant, colorful bracts that come in a variety of shades like purple, red, orange, white, pink and yellow. These bracts are often mistaken for the flowers themselves, but the true flowers are tiny and inconspicuous, nestled within the bracts.
How to Care for Bougainvillea
- Light: At least 6 hours of sunlight per day.
- Water Preferences: Potted bougainvillea require regular watering. During the hot months, you can expect to water your plant at least once a week.
- Special Care/Notes: Mildly toxic to pets
