Characteristics
The Ficus elastica, more commonly known as a Rubber Tree, is an evergreen tree species that produces oval, glossy, leathery dark green leaves with a hint of red. This plant is an excellent air purifier.
How to Care for Rubber Trees
- Light: Bright indirect light
- Water Preferences: Allow the soil to dry somewhat between watering. Prefers periodic deep watering over frequent shallow watering.
- Special Care/Notes: If the leaves begin to drop, try moving the plant to a brighter area and make sure no cold drafts are present.
