'Ann' is most famous for its dramatic, chalice-shaped blooms. The petals are a deep, dark pink on the outside and a delicate creamy white on the inside. They typically emerge in mid-to-late April. After the spring floral show, the shrub fills out with lush, leathery dark green leaves. In the autumn, the foliage often transitions to a golden-bronze hue before dropping for the winter.
