Characteristics

The Tradescantia nanouk plant, commonly known as a Spiderwort, is a vining houseplant that can be identified by its silvery-green and light purple striped leaves with purple undersides. This plant is easy to grow as a houseplant and in ideal conditions, the Tradescantia can produce pink, purple, or white flowers.

How to Care for Tradescantia

  • Light: Thrives in bright indirect light to keep its striped leaf pattern.
  • Water Preferences: Allow the soil to dry slightly between watering, but don't let it completely dry out. Check the top inch or two of soil and if it's dry give your Tradescantia a good watering.
  • Special Care/Notes: Direct sun exposure can scorch the leaves, place away from direct afternoon sunlight.

*Ships within Colorado only* To ensure plants are delivered with the most care, we ship plants Monday-Wednesday. Plants purchased after Wednesday or over the weekend will be shipped on the following Monday. Check out our shipping policies for more information. Thank you!
