Characteristics
Schefflera arboricola, also known as a Dwarf Umbrella Tree or Parasol Plant, is a broadleaf evergreen shrub that has long and shiny ovate leaves drooping from the peak of its stalks, resembling an umbrella. As a tropical houseplant, the Schefflera arboricola can tolerate a range of growing conditions but prefers indirect light, warmth, and humidity.
How to Care for Umbrella Trees
- Light: Thrives in bright indirect light.
- Water Preferences: Allow the soil to dry significantly between watering. Prefers periodic deep watering over frequent shallow watering.
- Special Care/Notes: Avoid direct sun exposure that may scorch leaves. Mist leaves periodically.
