Characteristics
Philodendron hastatum, commonly known as 'Silver Sword', is a vining aroid popular for its shimmering silver-green leaves that begin to take a unique shape as the plant matures. This variety of philodendron will grow larger with support such as a moss pole or trellis.
How to Care for Silver Sword Philodendron
- Light: Thrives in bright indirect light and cannot tolerate direct light.
- Water Preferences: Allow the soil to dry out slightly in between watering. Water approximately every 7-10 days depending on what kind of light the plant receives.
- Special Care/Notes: Prefers loose, well-draining soil that can hold moisture well.
