Vermiculite from Uni-Gro

Uni-Gro Premium Vermiculite is a mica-type mineral that has been heated causing it to expand into accordion-like particles which absorb nutrients as well as water. As a soil amendment, Uni-Gro Premium Vermiculite lightens heavy soils and holds moisture in sandy soils and may be used both indoors and outdoors with excellent results.

Seed Germination:

Place Uni-Gro Premium Vermiculite in a flat and moisten thoroughly. Press small furrows into the Vermiculite and sow the seeds at a proper depth. Cover the seed lightly with additional Vermiculite and moisten.

Bulb Storage:

For storing bulbs during the winter months, place bulbs in a container with 100% Uni-Gro Premium Vermiculite that is dry, making sure bulbs are completely covered. Then store in a cool, dry location.

Flower Arrangement:

For flower arrangements, place 100% Uni-Gro Premium Vermiculite into the desired vase and saturate with water. Then place the flowers into their position in the case. The Vermiculite will hold the flowers in place as well as supply them with the necessary amount of water.

  • Contains 4 quarts of vermiculite

"Love our Mums always top quality. Excellent customer service and friendly service."

- Cheryl Barnes, October 2025

"I was in there today may 17th 2025 and two very lovely employees helped me out! One was a guy (cashier) other was a young woman in a hat. The guy asked if I would like the plant repotted and informed me that I needed a bigger pot for the plant to grow in. The girl walked me back to the pots and helped me pick the right size! They were very friendly and helpful they made my visit there amazing! I hope you know who I am talking about so you can give them recognition!"
