Marliner Kren Horseradish - 3 Roots

A culinary favorite! The sharp piquant flavor and penetrating smell of horseradish becomes apparent when the root is grated or ground. A great plant to grow in the perennial herb garden or a deep container like a whiskey barrel planter. Fresh horseradish loses flavor as it cooks, so add it towards the end of a dish or use a condiment on top. Horseradish is deer-resistant, bee-friendly, drought-tolerant, and winter-hardy.

  • Light: Full sun, partial shade
  • Planting Instructions: Horseradish prefers a sandy well-drained area in full sun but will tolerate part shade. The soil pH should be between 6.2-6.7 and free of rocks. Choose a generous site for this prolific vegetable which can grow to 24" tall and 18" wide. For best results follow the planting instructions on the back of the package.
  • Mature Height: 20-14" tall, up to 18" wide
  • Additional Notes: Horseradish will overwinter very well in the garden as long as it is planted in a well-drained area. You can also mulch well in the fall and continue to harvest throughout the winter. If not harvested, divided roots every two years.

"Wow! What a wonderful first time to Bath!! The staff is beautiful!! Professional, knowledgeable and so willing to help and inform. The selection of indoor plants (this is what I came in for) is spectacular and the care they give their plants is exceptional. Hundreds of plants and in my time at Bath saw not one brown leaf. No dying plants and no unhealthy plants which tells me that they are meticulous in their care. I would like to give a shout out to “The Sheriff.” I believe her real name is Martha! Unbelievable human being. They went over and above to help me find the perfect oversized houseplant. They made it a beautiful experience and not just a buying experience. Sheriff!! You made me a happy man, customer and future customer of Bath!! ✌🏼❤️"
