Characteristics

The Zamioculcas zamiifolia, also known as a ZZ Plant or Eternity Plant, is an evergreen perennial with dark, glossy leaves that grow in rows on succulent rhizomes just under the soil's surface. A native to the dry grasslands of Africa, it is a hardy, low-water favorite.

How to Care for ZZ Plants

  • Light: Prefers bright to moderate indirect light but can tolerate low light conditions
  • Water Preferences: Let the soil dry completely between watering. This plant can live for months without water if needed. Water around every 3-4 weeks at most.
  • Special Care/Notes: Less is more with this beauty. Be careful not to overwater. This plant is a perfect low-maintenance option and it is very drought-tolerant.

*Ships within Colorado only* To ensure plants are delivered with the most care, we ship plants Monday-Wednesday. Plants purchased after Wednesday or over the weekend will be shipped on the following Monday. Check out our shipping policies for more information. Thank you!

"Best plants locally!"

- Jimmy James, July 2023

"I stopped by Bath Garden Center and Nursery today and was unexpectedly surprised. This family-owned garden center is fantastic. The variety of outdoor and indoor plants is shocking. They also sell pots for every taste. I got two indoor plants and went to the cashier. Lauren was excellent at taking me to an available cashier and ringing me up. She kindly offered to put my chosen plants into the new pots I bought. I wish this family had more stores across Colorado."

"Amelia was a great help today assisting us in finding some plants for our yard. I would highly recommend her and Bath Garden Center and Nursery for any of your landscaping needs."
