Characteristics

Dracaena reflexa, or Song of India, is a beautiful and easy-to-care-for houseplant that thrives in bright, indirect light and moderate humidity. Its vibrant foliage and graceful form make it a popular choice for indoor gardens. The canes are smooth, green, and thicken with age and its narrow, strap-like leaves are shiny green with creamy yellow margins, fading to light green with cream as they age.

How to Care for Song of India Plant

  • Light: Bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch leaves.
  • Water Preferences: Water moderately, allowing soil to dry slightly between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot.
  • Special Care/Notes: Apply a balanced liquid fertilizer monthly during spring and summer. Reduce or stop fertilization in winter. Can be propagated by stem cuttings or air layering.

*Ships within Colorado only* To ensure plants are delivered with the most care, we ship plants Monday-Wednesday. Plants purchased after Wednesday or over the weekend will be shipped on the following Monday. Check out our shipping policies for more information. Thank you!
