Characteristics

The Parlor Palm (Chamaedorea elegans), also known as the Neanthe Bella Palm, is an evergreen dwarf palm with light to dark green foliage that shoots outward from its bamboo-like canes. This easy-to-care-for houseplant is wildly popular and well adapted for indoor environments, growing anywhere from 2-4 feet tall. Perfect for purifying the air in your home or office.

How to Care for Parlor Palms

  • Light: Thrives in bright indirect light but can easily tolerate low-light environments.
  • Water Preferences: Allow the soil to dry significantly between watering. Prefers periodic deep watering over frequent shallow watering.
  • Special Care/Notes: Direct sun exposure may scorch leaves. Very sensitive to overwatering. Mist leaves occasionally.

*Ships within Colorado only* To ensure plants are delivered with the most care, we ship plants Monday-Wednesday. Plants purchased after Wednesday or over the weekend will be shipped on the following Monday. Check out our shipping policies for more information. Thank you!

"Super helpful and knowledgeable staff!"

- Sebastian Tramani, April 2023

"They have so much fun stuff to look at even if you're not buying plants! They also have a cool deal where, if you buy the container and the plant, they'll plant it for you. There's clothes, kitchen stuff, kids stuff, books, nick snacks, etc. My mom and I go in just to hang out and look at stuff sometimes, but last time, I got this plant. It went from beautiful to MAMMOTH and beautiful. We named her Victoria."
