Characteristics

The Kalanchoe, also known as a 'Panda Plant', is a slow-growing succulent shrub. Some varieties have almost woody stems and fleshy, velvety, gray-green leaves with brown fuzz spots on the margins and tips. Other varieties do not feature this fuzzy texture and can have a soft purple tint to the leaves.

Care

  • Light: Partial sun/bright filtered light. At least three hours of bright light each day.
  • Water Preferences: The "soak and dry" method is best. Let the soil dry almost completely before watering again. Reduce watering frequency during winter.
  • Special Care/Notes: Excessive, harsh sunlight may cause the more delicate leaves to burn. Water sparingly, as this species grows slowly and goes through resources at a somewhat varied, but consistently slow pace.

*Ships within Colorado only* To ensure plants are delivered with the most care, we ship plants Monday-Wednesday. Plants purchased after Wednesday or over the weekend will be shipped on the following Monday. Check out our shipping policies for more information. Thank you!
