Characteristics

Croton 'Mammy' is a common houseplant most recognizable by its striking foliage. The brilliant colors of this cultivar can range from green variegated with white, pink, orange, yellow, red, or purple in various combinations that may change as the leaf ages. The leaves are thick and leathery and may twist and curl as they grow.

How to Care for Crotons

  • Light: Bright to moderate filtered light
  • Water Preferences: Water thoroughly, allowing the plant to significantly dry out between watering.
  • Special Care/Notes: Especially prone to spider mites, it is best to work in insecticidal soap preventative care every now and then.

*Ships within Colorado only* To ensure plants are delivered with the most care, we ship plants Monday-Wednesday. Plants purchased after Wednesday or over the weekend will be shipped on the following Monday. Check out our shipping policies for more information. Thank you!

"The employees at Bath are very helpful and I didn’t have any problems finding someone to answer questions on either trip. They have a large selection and plenty of parking. They offer a lot of extras like garden art and pots."

"Best garden center in Northern Colorado."

- Michael Yeazel, February 2025

"I’ve been here many times to get irrigation supplies. I really appreciate their knowledge, patience, and assistance on the subject. I also like that in their lawn irrigation center, it’s only supplies you might need for your lawn, nothing else."

- C Way, March 2023
