Characteristics

Calathea zebrina, also known as prayer plant, features velvety, dark green leaves with bold, lighter green stripes. Known for its interesting night-time movements where leaves fold upwards (like praying hands!), this low-light loving plant thrives in humidity

How to Care for Calatheas

  • Light: Medium to bright indirect light. Can tolerate lower light conditions
  • Water Preferences: Allow the soil to dry out slightly in between watering. Maintain slightly moist soil.
  • Special Care/Notes: Prefers a well draining potting mix and a nitrogen-rich fertilizer

*Ships within Colorado only* To ensure plants are delivered with the most care, we ship plants Monday-Wednesday. Plants purchased after Wednesday or over the weekend will be shipped on the following Monday. Check out our shipping policies for more information. Thank you!

"Very helpful and knowledgeable staff, they have all kinds of beautiful plants, useful and unique things for home and garden."

- Nicole E., March 2024

"I stopped by Bath Garden Center and Nursery today and was unexpectedly surprised. This family-owned garden center is fantastic. The variety of outdoor and indoor plants is shocking. They also sell pots for every taste. I got two indoor plants and went to the cashier. Lauren was excellent at taking me to an available cashier and ringing me up. She kindly offered to put my chosen plants into the new pots I bought. I wish this family had more stores across Colorado."

- Gabriela Sofia, August 2024

"Walked around for two hours. So many options for trees and shrubs, annuals, vegetable plants, house plants. Also great cards and gifts."

- Erin Wright, May 2024

"Loved the selection. Every plant was healthy and full of life. I wanted this place to be my backyard. Friendly helpful staff."
