Rouge Cardinal Clematis produces large velvety crimson flowers. It blooms on new growth midsummer, & then again on new shoots in early fall. The second round will likely produce smaller flowers. Prune in Feb or March as new leaf buds appear low on the plant. Remove all dead material above these buds. Clematis are excellent plants for climbing walls, trellises, fences, or arbors.

I showed Wyatt photos of my spaces and jokingly asked Wyatt if he could just design my spaces for me….and he replied “yes!”….he took me around, asked what I liked, told me how to mix color, grasses and heights, etc…he was a wealth of info and help!
