Newport Plum Trees (Prunus cerasifera 'Newport') are small to medium-sized deciduous trees that typically grow up to 20 feet tall. They have an attractive, rounded shape with a spreading canopy and bark that ranges from dark gray to reddish-brown. In the spring, Newport Plum Trees produce an abundance of fragrant, white flowers that cover the tree's branches and provide a striking display. The flowers are followed by small plums that ripen in the summer, perfect for pollinators and wildlife. Though the Newport Plum produces fruit, it is best to leave the fruit for wildlife to enjoy as it is more of an ornamental tree rather than a fruit tree.
We offer a one-year conditional warranty. Any plants grown in a container voids the warranty. Warranties on roses and perennials are valid through October 31st of the year purchased. All plants purchased after October 31st will not be eligible for coverage under our warranty.
*Please be aware that buying trees & shrubs out of season can increase the risk of the tree not surviving or thriving and may not look identical to the picture shown. Trees are dormant during the winter months and are more susceptible to stress and damage when planted out of season.*
"No matter what I am at Bath for, there are always helpful employees to help me find what I need or tips on how to care for indoor or outdoor plants. They also carry pots, trellises, soil, and interesting plants of all kinds! I was also pleasantly surprised to find compost worms available for purchase without a special preorder. Thank you for being awesome!"

"Although matching colors were sold out staff assisted with the search to match what a cabbage looper devoured."

"Every time I've gone into this place has been a lovely time. Their plant selection is terrific, with beautiful sculptures and even turtles hanging out! Took a class with Evan today and made bookmarks, I plan on coming back to take more classes."
