High Mowing Organic Stardust Zucchini Seeds

One of the most uniform open pollinated zucchinis in fruit shape and color, plants produce abundantly on short stems. Leaves are large and variegated and fruit are covered in beautiful tiny flecks of contrasting color with defined, attractive ridges. Large, productive plants with beautiful, medium to dark green fruit. Plants need loose, fertile, well drained soil with plenty of nitrogen and a pH 5.8-6.8. Fertilize seedlings with fish emulsion if leaves yellow.

Sowing Information:

  • Light: Full Sun
  • When to Sow Outside: RECOMMENDED. 1 to 2 weeks after your average last frost date, and when soil temperature is 70°–85°F.
  • When to Start Inside: Not recommended except in very short growing seasons, 2 to 4 weeks before transplanting. Roots are sensitive to disturbance; sow in biodegradable pots that can be planted directly into the ground. Transplant when the soil temperature is at least 60°F.
  • Seed Depth: ½–1 inch
  • Seed Spacing: 2–3 seeds per mound
  • Row Spacing: 6 feet
  • Thinning: When seedlings grow 3-inch leaves, thin to 1–2 per mound.
  • Days to Maturity: 52 days

Growing Notes:

  • Harvesting: Best quality fruit are harvested at 5 – 8” or smaller, while skin is soft and somewhat glossy.  Harvest fruits every other day to for best size and quality and to maintain plants’ productivity.
  • Hardiness: Frost-sensitive annual
  • Attributes: Productive, variegated leaves, open-pollinated
