High Mowing Tat Soi Asian Greens Seeds

Fast growing spoon-shaped leaves are dark green and glossy with narrow white stems. Most popular as a baby leaf for salad and braising mixes, or bunched at full size. Mild flavor and tender texture. At full size, leaves form a rosette that sits close to the ground.

Sowing Information:

  • Light: Full sun to part shade
  • When to Start Inside: 1 to 2 weeks after your average last frost date, when the soil temperature is at least 50°F.
  • When to Sow Outside: RECOMMENDED. 6 to 8 weeks before your average last frost date.
  • Seed Depth: ¼ inch
  • Seed Spacing: About 12 seeds per foot
  • Row Spacing: 18 inches
  • Thinning: When 2-3 inches tall, thin to 1 every 6 inches
  • Days to Maturity: 25 days for baby greens, 45 days for full size plants

Growing Notes:

  • Harvesting: Harvest when leaves are ~3” tall by cutting 1” from ground or pick individual leaves for cut and come again.
  • Variety Information: Most Asian Greens are moderately hardy annuals and can be sown from early spring through midsummer. Asian greens are in the same family as mustards but tend to have a mild flavor and lack the spiciness that many mustards are known for. Asian greens include an assortment of species that can be grown for baby leaf or full size crops.
  • Attributes: Versatile, heat-tolerant, open-pollinated
