Beauty Beyond Belief Russell Lupine Seeds

This perennial Lupine has tall, dense spikes of purple, pink, reddish-purple, and white flowers rising above deep green robust foliage that resemble palm leaves. Russell Lupine is native to the Pacific states and the North Eastern areas of North America where the plants will bloom from May to July, the second spring from seeding. Plant in slightly acidic soil that is well drained. Sandy, rocky soil will allow the tap root to grow well.  Nick the hard seed coat or soak overnight before direct planting 1/4 inch deep. Keep the soil moist until the seedling is 3-4 inches tall. There’s no need for fertilization, but lupines like regular irrigation. These are great for wildflower gardens and meadows but also do well as accents in perennial garden flower beds and make great cut flowers.

"A plant lovers paradise."

- Devon Gates, May 2024

"I stopped by Bath Garden Center and Nursery today and was unexpectedly surprised. This family-owned garden center is fantastic. The variety of outdoor and indoor plants is shocking. They also sell pots for every taste. I got two indoor plants and went to the cashier. Lauren was excellent at taking me to an available cashier and ringing me up. She kindly offered to put my chosen plants into the new pots I bought. I wish this family had more stores across Colorado."
