Dwarf Evening Primrose explodes with brilliant clear yellow, 4″ saucer-shaped flowers. This sun loving drought tolerant plant is native to the Central and Southern United States. Also known as Missouri Evening Primrose, this long-lived perennial makes a nice ground cover around taller perennials and shrubs and looks great at the front of flower beds and in rock gardens. The large, brilliant yellow flowers open in the late afternoon and close again in the morning when the sun hits them. The noticeable fragrance attract evening pollinators such as hawkmoths, sphinx moths and bats.
Special Treatment: Start indoors 8 weeks before last frost for early summer blooms. Spread seed on top of soil, rake in, then press into soil for good contact and keep moist until they germinate. Thin to 12”
