Botanical Interests Rainbow Blend Coleus Seeds

Coleus is an excellent houseplant that will add color to those dreary winter days. In the garden, its white, bronze, gold, copper, yellow, pink, red, and purple foliage will brighten up shady areas that typically are hard to grow flowers in! Also great for containers and planters!

Sowing Information:

  • Light: Part Shade
  • When to Start Inside: RECOMMENDED. 6 to 8 weeks before your average last frost date for transplanting outside; any time of year when grown as a houseplant. Optimal soil temperature for germination is 70°–80°F.
  • When to Sow Outside: 1 to 2 weeks after your average last frost date.
  • Seed Spacing: A group of 2-3 seeds every 6-12 inches
  • Thinning: When 1-2  inches tall, thin to 1 every 12-24 inches
  • Days to Emerge: 15-20 days

Growing Notes:

  • Variety Info: Colorful foliage which includes chartreuse, white, bronze, gold, copper, yellow, pink, red, purple, and green.
  • Attributes: Good for Containers, Deer Resistant, Frost Sensitive
  • Hardiness: Perennial in USDA zones 11 and warmer. Frost-sensitive; typically grown as an annual.
