Botanical Interests Italian Amaro Blend Microgreens Seeds

The varieties in this custom mix will all be the perfect 1"–2" size at the same time, with an appealing flavor and texture combination as well as a beautiful color presentation. Nutritious microgreens can be grown at any time of the year, and are a nutrient-packed way to get your "green fix" in the dead of winter. Move containers as needed for best light exposure and temperature (65°–75°F). Jazzy Mix microgreens are ready to harvest in about 12 to 14 days after sowing, when they have cotyledons (first leaves), or when the first true leaves (second set of leaves) have begun to form, depending on preference. Mix includes: 30% Sawtooth mustard, 30% Peppergrass cress, 15% Red Acre cabbage, 15% Red Giant mustard, and 10% China Rose radish. Sow indoors any time of the year!

Sowing Information:

  • Light: Indirect light
  • When to Start Inside: RECOMMENDED. Sow indoors any time of year. For a continual crop, sow every 7 to 14 days.
  • When to Sow Outside: Not recommended. Microgreens are fragile and outside soil makes them difficult to clean.
  • Seed Depth: Plant seeds ⅛-¼ inch deep
  • Seed Spacing: Space seeds ¼-½ inch apart
  • Thinning: Not required
  • Days to Germinate: 5-7 days
  • Days to Maturity: 12-24 days

Growing Notes:

  • Variety Info: The varieties in this mix are meant to be harvested when they have 1 to 2 sets of leaves for use as crisp, lively flavored raw greens. The leaves are varying shades of green and red, some with red stems.
  • Harvesting: When seedlings emerge, the first pair of leaves to show are the cotyledons, which can look very different from the leaves that follow, called "true" leaves. Microgreens are ready to harvest when they have cotyledons, or when the first true leaves have begun to form, depending on preference. Cool growing temperatures may slow the expected amount of days to maturity. Using scissors, cut microgreens just above the soil line when you are ready to use them

"What a fun and whimsical nursery. There is something for everyone. It feels like every turn you find another treasure. Pricing is boutique-like but plenty of items on the under $15 side. We went in today for greeting cards and found the perfect cards for my grandma. I've purchased many garden supplies and plants here as well. They always have great quality and variety. The owner is amazing, generous, and community focused."

"This is a beautiful garden store in Ft. Collins, Colo. This isn't a discount store but the quality of their plants and merchandise are good quality. We are a cactus/succulent family and we found some very healthy plants, some different than we have found previously. Large facility broken up into manageable rooms for browsing. The employees are there if you need them and the young man at the register was pleasant, knowledgeable and accommodating. If you enjoy spending time at a nursery/garden store there is no reason not to enjoy the Bath Garden Center."

"Great! Great selection. Friendly people."

"It's always good to check out the koi pond and see the turtles. The plants are beautiful, and they have a good selection of soils and pots. Awesome selection of herbs too! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable."
