Botanical Interests Italian Amaro Blend Microgreens Seeds

Go Italian with Botanical Interests special blend of chicories! Like salt on chocolate, a balsamic dressing or soy sauce will enhance the flavor of these lively Italian greens. Also delicious pair with soft cheeses. This is a mix of popular Italian chicories for distinct flavor; a slightly bitter taste for zing, and are full of nutrients, aiding in digestion. Mix includes: 60% Italian chicory, 20% curly endive, and 20% escarole. Sow indoors any time of the year!

Sowing Information:

  • Light: Indirect light
  • When to Start Inside: RECOMMENDED. Sow indoors any time of year. For a continual crop, sow every 7 to 14 days.
  • When to Sow Outside: Not recommended. Microgreens are fragile and outside soil makes them difficult to clean.
  • Seed Depth: Plant seeds ⅛-¼ inch deep
  • Seed Spacing: Space seeds ¼-½ inch apart
  • Thinning: Not required
  • Days to Germinate: 7-10 days
  • Days to Maturity: 15-25 days

Growing Notes:

  • Variety Info: As microgreens, tiny, green leaves with slightly bitter flavor.
  • Harvesting: When seedlings emerge, the first pair of leaves to show are the cotyledons, which can look very different from the leaves that follow, called "true" leaves. Microgreens are ready to harvest when they have cotyledons, or when the first true leaves have begun to form, depending on preference. Cool growing temperatures may slow the expected amount of days to maturity. Using scissors, cut microgreens just above the soil line when you are ready to use them.

"This local nursery is great! Lots of events and seasonal promotions, even cool decor and nick-nacks. I even got a few cut tops there! It's a great shop with great service. They also have a rewards program."

- Debbie Swann, February 2024

"This is a beautiful garden store in Ft. Collins, Colo. This isn't a discount store but the quality of their plants and merchandise are good quality. We are a cactus/succulent family and we found some very healthy plants, some different than we have found previously. Large facility broken up into manageable rooms for browsing. The employees are there if you need them and the young man at the register was pleasant, knowledgeable and accommodating. If you enjoy spending time at a nursery/garden store there is no reason not to enjoy the Bath Garden Center."

- Debra Harris, November 2025

"I love this garden center! I've never brought home any bugs! They have a ton of things to look at!"

- Shaunna Stone, May 2023

"Bath's warranty on trees is for real and ended up being a great deal for us. Recently back in and guidance was calming, helpful, and kind concerning recent projects."
