Ussurian Pear (Pyrus ussuriensis) is a hardy and adaptable fruit tree variety, perfect for thriving in the challenging climate of Northern Colorado. These deciduous trees offer a beautiful display throughout the seasons. In spring, they adorn themselves with clusters of delicate white blossoms, creating a stunning sight that adds charm to any landscape. They are highly cold-hardy, capable of tolerating freezing temperatures and late spring frosts, making them a reliable choice for growers in the region. Although not particularly palatable, the fruit ripens from September to October and tastes better after a freeze. The Ussurian Pear is predominately used as an ornamental tree and is semi self-fertile, meaning it will bear fruit but will produce more fruit when planted with another pear tree.
We offer a one-year conditional warranty. Any plants grown in a container voids the warranty. Warranties on roses and perennials are valid through October 1st of the year purchased. All plants purchased after October 31st will not be eligible for coverage under our warranty.
*Please be aware that buying trees & shrubs out of season can increase the risk of the tree not surviving or thriving and may not look identical to the picture shown. Trees are dormant during the winter months and are more susceptible to stress and damage when planted out of season.*
