Crimson Red Rhubarb - 1 Large Bulb

Plump, solid crimson-red stalks set this rhubarb apart as one of the most flavorful on the market today. Crimson Red rhubarb is easy to grow and adds a pop of color to your yard.

  • Light: Full sun
  • Mature Height: 24-48 inches
  • Planting instructions: Plant in well-draining soil in full sun in early Spring or late Fall.
  • Harvest: Late spring to early summer. Rhubarb harvest usually lasts until the end of June.
  • Additional Notes: Do not harvest rhubarb the year you plant your crowns. Remove any seed stalks that appear, as they reduce the vigor of the plant. A light harvest may be taken the second year and by the third season, all stalks that are 1 inch in diameter or larger may be harvested over a period of 6-8 weeks. Rhubarb cannot compete with weeds or grass. Immediately upon harvesting, use a knife to trim the leaves from the stalks and discard. They are toxic, and leaving them on can speed wilting of the stalks.

"I love this garden center! I've never brought home any bugs! They have a ton of things to look at!"

- Shaunna Stone, May 2023

"I love this place. Their customer service is absolutely outstanding. The staff has a great amount of knowledge. Anytime I have an issue with a plant, I pluck a leaf off of it put it in a ziplock bag, and then take it in. The staff easily assesses what the issues are and educates me on how to tackle the issue."

- Jared Eckert, June 2024

"I’ve been here many times to get irrigation supplies. I really appreciate their knowledge, patience, and assistance on the subject. I also like that in their lawn irrigation center, it’s only supplies you might need for your lawn, nothing else."

- C Way, March 2023

"Amelia was a great help today assisting us in finding some plants for our yard. I would highly recommend her and Bath Garden Center and Nursery for any of your landscaping needs."
