Doublet Amaryllis - 1 Large Bulb

Winter can be a hard time for gardeners, but that is the great thing about amaryllis! The Amaryllis Doublet is a stunning variety known for its unique, double-layered blooms. The Doublet features multiple layers of narrow petals that create a mesmerizing, almost ruffled appearance. These petals often display a captivating interplay of colors, typically a base of white or cream overlaid with striking red streaks, stripes, speckles, and striations. The overall effect is a visually stunning, almost kaleidoscopic flower that can vary greatly in its pattern and color intensity.

  • Light: Full sun in a warm location until the bulb begins producing leaves, then move to bright indirect light.
  • Blooms: 7-10 weeks after planting
  • Mature Height: 20-24 inches
  • Planting instructions: Plant indoors during the winter between October and December in well-draining, moderately moist soil. Plant your bulb in a pot at least six inches in size, or two inches larger in diameter than the size of the bulb.
  • Additional Notes: Rotate the plant every day or two to prevent the stem from leaning toward the light. If the plant gets top-heavy, tie the stem to a bamboo stake for some extra added support.
  • Attributes: Beautiful cut flowers.
