Carnaval De Rio Tulips – 7 Bulbs

Carnaval de Rio tulips (Tulipa 'Carnaval de Rio') are a Triumph tulip variety that is known for their large, white flowers with deep red flames. The flowers are about 4 inches in diameter and bloom in mid-spring  and are a good choice for borders, beds, and containers. One of the easiest bulbs to grow. Plant in well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade in the fall for spring blooms. They are a relatively easy plant to care for and can be propagated by dividing the bulbs or by seed.

  • Light: Full sun to part shade
  • Blooms: Mid Spring
  • Planting Depth: 5 inches
  • Bulbs Per Square Foot:
  • Planting Instructions: Plant the bulbs in the fall, 6-8 weeks before the first frost. Exposure to full sun will bring out the rich colors that tulips offer. Partial shade will enable a longer blooming period and still offer a colorful addition to any garden. Deadhead the flowers after they have bloomed. Divide the bulbs every 3-4 years to keep them healthy.
  • Mature Height: 18-24 inches
  • Additional Notes: Winter hardy, beautiful cut flower, great container plant, bee-friendly
