Red Madonna Tulips – 7 Bulbs

The Red Madonna tulip is a dramatic and eye-catching variety, categorized as a Parrot tulip. These tulips are known for their flamboyant, large blooms with ruffled, curled, and twisted petals that give them a unique, feathered appearance. The Red Madonna is a late-blooming tulip, typically flowering from mid to late spring. Plant these tulips in fall for spring blooms.

  • Light: Full sun to part shade 
  • Blooms: Late spring
  • Planting Depth: 5 inches
  • Bulbs Per Square Foot: 9
  • Planting Instructions: Plant the bulbs in the fall, 6-8 weeks before the first frost. Exposure to full sun will bring out the rich colors that tulips offer. Partial shade will enable a longer blooming period and still offer a colorful addition to any garden.
