The 'Purple Peony' Tulip is a popular and dramatic variety known for its dense, multi-petaled blooms. It belongs to the Double Late classification of tulips, which are often affectionately referred to as Peony Tulips because of their striking resemblance to true peonies. The bloom is a rich, elegant deep purple and it extends the tulip season by blooming in late spring, often lasting well into early summer.
